Cool styles for hot summer days

When the temperature brings sweltering hot days, some of us feel challenged to remain stylish when a bathing suit sounds like the most layering we want to do. Relax! There are ways to keep and look cool without looking like you're heading to the pool.

Tanks a lot
Once thought of as too casual for anything but the gym, tanks have come a long way in the world of fashion, but no need to reach for your guy's underwear drawer. There are plenty of stylish options that can be dressed up or down. Top a flowy summer skirt with a pretty tank and some great accessories, and Voila!-- instant summer glam. Or, layer a tank under a cute cropped denim jacket for a night out!

The long and short of it
Shorts are a summer essential, but few among us can pull off Daisy Dukes, and many of us don't want to wear bermudas. A happy medium? A stylish mid-length cargo. Cargo shorts are super comfortable with enough pockets to carry essentials, but with an edgy look you can dress up with a flowy tank and strappy sandals.

Dress the part
One of the coolest options for hot summer days is a flowing dress that doesn't bind or constrict, and still looks hot. When you have a more formal summer event or a hot night out, the tank maxi is the perfect choice. The hot and trendy maxi from Young, Fabulous and Broke is one of the season's great finds. Why? The combination of fleece and jersey provides a great fit with just enough stretch and holding power to offer a truly 'fabulous' fit with the ever-flattering slightly plunging neckline and shoulder-hugging straps.
