Fashion Blogs to Bookmark

In the vast blogosphere of fashion blogs, we've found a few that stand out above the crowd. Why? Great content, eye-pleasing layouts and necessary information, like links where shoppers can purchase the items shown. It doesn't hurt to have a fab name, too. Take "Life of a Rockstar", written by a hip, California writer named Nicole Hanratty, whose takes on life, love and fashion are infotainment at its best. We love her tips and her personality shines through each post. She's the kind of passionista we want to share a glass of good California chardonnay with. Find out more at http://www.lifeofarockstar.com/.

Locally, we love Jessica Shops. Jessica Dauler, Atlanta's shopping guru, writes about deals and steals in and around Atlanta, with such attention to detail you won't miss a sale and you definitely won't overpay! Her creative blog covers fashion and cosmetics and points readers to the best sales and shopping secrets around. As my friends from New England say, "we all like a baaagan". Celebs love Alternative Apparel. So do we!

The perfect cotton tee. Everyone should own one. In our opinion, everyone should one of everycolor and size. Alternative Apparel makes ultra comfy and very affordable tees, hoodies and wraps, among other items for men and women, and we at Peters Path can't get enough of them.

Christine, who is an artist at layering, loves to be creative by layering her long-sleeved Alternative tees under cute tops and vests, or layering her Alternative tanks in different colors. She's in good company. Apparently Heidi Klum is a big fan, too. Ronda loves her Stevie Wrap, and no wonder, it's a favorite of celebs like Naomi Watts.

If you want uncomparable comfort and style, wear Alternative Apparel! Great for layering or worn alone, this brand will become the foundation of your wardrobe.

Peters Path Digs This Site!

In today's world, it's refreshing to see a site about being nice. Yep, just being nice. That's kind of what we're all about. We started our company to help people and organizations in need. We even have cool t-shirts that promote our beliefs: unity, harmony and peace. We believe everyone can make a difference in the world, and we give big props to Operation Nice because they say kindness is a great way to start!

Peters Path Lauches Website!

We are officially live! We have so many exciting things happening and we're receiving some very positive feedback on our site. Now we just need help spreading the word! We'll begin a PR campaign in the next week, and of course, we've turned into social media addicts. We're tweeting on Twitter (follow us), posting on Facebook (become a fan!).

Soon, we'll announce some really cool charity projects we have in the pipeline, so keep on the lookout. Tonight, Christine is attending a premiere of "A Powerful Noise", a documentary that explores the lives of women who face seemingly unsurmountable daily challenges. The film chronicles their significant victories over poverty and oppression. Christine and Ronda met one of the film's producers recently, and we're hoping to become much more involved with organizations dedicated to fighting poverty and empowering women. Hopefully, Christine will 'tweet' from the premiere!

One cool design note: We have a fabtastic relationship with a local design college, Bauder College, from which we scoop up our hardworking, talented interns. The designers in training there are working on a super cool project: taking our organic tees (incredibly soft, sourced fair trade from Uganda) and repurposing them into their own creations. Daring, hip and oh so unique, to say the least. We've posted some pics and can't wait to see the final productions. Stay tuned to the blog for more!

Keep spreading the good vibes on Peters Path and check frequently, we're adding cool new items all the time!

Peters Path Designs Exclusive Tee to benefit Southside Firefighters Burn Foundation

A few weeks ago, we participated in the Southern Women's Show in Savannah. Since part of our mission is to help charitable organizations, we searched for a project or organization we could help while we were there. We discovered the firemen of the Southside Fire Dept. were going to do a "hotties" fashion show during the event to benefit the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, a great organization that supports burn patients and their families during and after treatment of the trauma of a burn. We jumped at the opportunity to design a special t-shirt that we could sell at the show, and donate proceeds to the foundation.

The shirt, which features an antique fire truck with the phrase "Help Firefighters Help", designed by artist/filmmaker/photographer extraordinnaire Chris Nealon, was a huge hit. The firemen wore the shirts before stripping them off to throw out to screaming women in the audience. The fire department and Peters Path sold the shirts at our booths and raised hundreds of dollars for the burn foundation.

Half naked men wearing Peters Path? We know how to put the fun in fundraising!

Peters Path Website Launch

We are almost there. The long journey to launching Peters Path online is finally coming to an end as we are about to go live. As a latecomer to the company's creation, but not to launching websites, I've tried to remain cautiously optimistic during the course of the launch. Now that we're almost there, I'm chilling the champagne.

I'm so proud to be a part of this company. Not just because we carry great clothes and accessories, but because of what the company is all about. One of Peters Path's partners and the president of the company, Christine Peters, created Peters Path because she wanted a creative way to bring awareness to and raise funds for various charities, namely Ciudad de Angleles, an organization that runs an orphanage in Mexico. Christine later joined forces with Ronda Balfe, who handles accounts/operations and vendor relations. I was the last partner to join and consider one of the biggest blessings in my life.

While I've been actively involved in charities my entire adult life, I've never had the chance to really make the impact I've hoped for, and I see this as my opportunity to do it. Peters Path is here and we hope we will indeed make a difference!

When customers shop at Peters Path, a portion of each sale goes toward charity. You can choose from the charities we have listed. Eventually, we hope to enable our customers to enter their own charity. We'll also be looking for other ways to help. At a recent fashion expo, we helped raise funds for the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation by designing an exclusive t-shirt for the show. Firemen from Southside Fire modeled the shirt during their fashion show and sales from the shirts directly benefitted the burn foundation.

We are excited about our new path and hope to meet all kinds of great people along the way, who will join us in our efforts to make a difference in the world. Visit us at www.peterspathstore.com.
